    The avarage package varies all the way from 2-3lac. To 40+ lac. Based on your experience work ability. The university can may help you to get good packages.

    You get a minimum starting salary is 20k anywhere but you have to go with your passion which you like most and doing that course does not see the number only.

    It depends on the college that you graduate and also your knowledge, it may happen that you graduate from good college but you did not study hard, when it comes to placement they will test you if you don't have that knowledge you will lose that offer. Suppose you are from Sharda University the salary can go up to Rs. 7-10 Lacs, Economics honors from top 10 colleges can fetch you a salary on average of Rs. 6 Lacs per annum. Rest of the colleges would get you the average of Rs. 20-25 thousand.

    Interestingly, there are a lot of people who are saying around 18-25 which is fair. If you are a solid worker, you can net around 30 which is a solid asking price for people who are good at their job and they have a project track record from the places that they worked at before the job there looking at.

    3 Lacs per year or 25000 per month is the average salary for economists. 1 year of minimum experience is required to be a Economist.
