You think you are talkative and can entertain people with your talks? Well, you are qualified to be a VJ. You must be camera friendly and confident. Little personality, good delivery and presentation is the key. Keep it interesting and being yourself will make your things easier. Along with that, excellent body language and dress sense, a pleasant voice, good command over the required language depending on the medium, presence of mind and a good knowledge of music would be good for anyone who aspires to be a Video Jockey. Awareness of whats happening around you is also vital. Be socially active.

A good knowledge of music is a first. Thereafter everything works. Surely, you must be able to talk about music and share that knowledge. So a flair for all is good. All other things (like dress) are minor, the producer would take care of, he is responsible for the success of the show.
To become a good VJ (Video Jockey), all you need is a good command over your language - especially Hindi or English. VJs present shows on TV.

One should have amazing communication skills for becoming a VJ. Having a positive and jolly personality also helps. One should also have a great sense of presentation, in terms of style, makeup, dressing sense, etc. as it always appeals to the audience. The VJ should ideally be proficient in 2 or more languages for better communication. Also, one should be funny, witty and smart to be able to improvise and give good comebacks even if it means deviation from the script.
