What should be my preparation strategy to crack BITSAT in one year?

Hi, BITSAT is comparatively an easy exam w.r.t. JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. The mode of this examination is made online compulsory. 6-7 months of preparation would be enough to crack BITSAT in my opinion. But the cut-off goes a little high because of its ease. But if you chalk out a proper plan and implement even at least 60% of it, you would be in BITS for sure. Subjects wise preparation can be done like: 1. Physics: Go through NCERT textbooks and be very clear with your basics and important concepts, you would definitely find questions based on these in BITSAT. For numerical solving, you can use a book by H. C. Verma. Even if you solve the first 40%-50% of unsolved exercises, you will make it. 2. Chemistry: Again what I would say is, go through NCERT textbooks and be very clear with your basics and important concepts. Here in chemistry, you would definitely find questions in BITSAT, directly based on some facts and concepts as given in NCERT books. 3. Mathematics: Prepare an objective mathematics book by Arihant Publication for maths. Practice a lot this subject daily. Apart from these three traditional subjects, you also need to prepare for English and aptitude. You need to speed up your question-solving skills. If you are left with some part before a month, just leave it and move on to the revision and mock tests. BITSAT needs a speed to solve the questions in given time. Start solving mock tests. Join any online test series to get used to with an online examination. You need to score 300+ to get into BITS. So, practice a lot. All the best!

BITSAT is conducted by prestigious BITs-Pilani to admit its students in various undergraduate programs. It is an online examination and generally, cut-off goes high. So you need a proper plan and implement it in your daily life. One year will be an ideal time to start preparing for BITSAT.You will get enough time to study English as well. The strategy you should follow to clear bits in one year: 1.In first 6 months, you should focus more on basic concepts. No rush at all. 2.Practice quality questions and stick with NCERT. BITSAT generally asks some basic questions to check your concepts. So concept must be clear for every topic. 3.You need to speedup you question solving skills. You will have to attempt a minimum of around 80% of questions in just three hours. So your speed will help you a lot. 4 .Prefer HC Verma for physics and NCERT for chemistry. You may prefer RC Mukherjee for physical chemistry. In the next 6 months: Start solving previous years papers and mock papers. If possible then join online test series. This will make your habit to sit in the front of the computer for three hours. Mugg up all the formulas and chemical reactions. Many coaching institutes provide revision charts. You can arrange them. Don't loose hope and continue your preparation even if your syllabus is not complete. Hope it helps!

BITSAT is an online examination conducted for admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) and other courses. For scoring good marks in BITSAT, one should always update with the syllabus so that he or she knows that preparation is on right track or not. All formulas should be memorized by heart. Remember, your speed is of immense importance in the BITSAT. So always keep formula in your mind. Before starting a new chapter, revise your previous studied chapter for a few min of time so that it will remain in your mind for a long duration of time. Try to leave few topics because in this exam if you not able to score 300+ then you won't able to get college so make a target of 120 question for safe side and for this you have to study all the topics properly. Never underestimate English and logical reasoning question that is a positive point if you make a little effort solve a question of logical reasoning by any book and for English try to make your grammar and vocabulary strong which helps you in solving this problem. Before going for the exam, try to do the demo exam of BITSAT because it is computer based exam so it takes time to understand and in the exam, you have no time so be prepared.

Here are some tips and strategies to crack BITSAT in one year: Officially speaking, BITS mentioned subjects given in NCERT books as its syllabus for BITSAT. For Physics and Maths, NCERT may prove to be insufficient. It can do your job for Chemistry. For Maths and Physics, refer to the books that your coaching has recommended and solved a lot of questions or you can refer to Cengage materials. For Physics and maths, NCERT may prove to be useful in the final step i.e. in last 2-3 months. Before the BITSAT, focus on speed and accuracy. Don't waste time in solving lengthier questions, but root for questions which are more concept based. You must have all formula and equations (algebraic and chemical alike) on your fingertips. Know that almost seventy percent of the questions are formula based. The most important out of all the tips and tricks is efficient time management. Only those who are able to solve questions accurately and quickly are the ones who grab the baton. You can divide your time for separate questions. What you should do is that solve last 10 years papers. Before the exam, it requires a good practice.The questions are so simple, but you require high speed with higher accuracy. Hope it helps.

BITSAT requires extensive preparation in first 6 months, followed by revising all concepts in next 2 months, the next two months should be reserved for mock exams followed by the revision. While gearing up for BITSAT 2016, don't waste time on solving lengthier questions, but root for questions which are more concept based. You must have all formulas and equations (algebraic and chemical alike) at your fingertips. Know that almost seventy percent of the question paper is formula based. Few scoring questions can be as easy as calculating wavelength for an electron to jump from shell n=2 to n=3 or the time for the free fall of a ball tossed in the air. The most important out of all the BITSAT tips and tricks and most efficient is time management.Only those who are able to solve questions accurately and quickly are the ones who grab the baton. Such is not the case in JEE because the questions are less than half of that in BITSAT. You need to put yourself through taxing mock routine for practicing time management and enhance your solving speed. For this, you must firstly be able to reproduce any demanded content from chapters when asked a question. Secondly, subject yourself to mock test series for practice. The more you practice, the more you will observe an increasing graph of your score. In the process, try to reduce errors in your calculation to avoid the scope for revision during the examination. Revising 150 questions could be a waste of time apart from being cumbersome, and hence you should try to avoid errors the first time you solve a problem.

For starting 5 to 6 months, focus on the concepts along with the questions. After that, there are books for BITSAT and start solving all the mock tests and previous year papers. Major topics to focus are : Organic chemistry In physics - Kinematics, SHM, Electromagnetism In maths - calculus The book you can buy is "Comprehensive Guide to BITSAT Online Test".
