This exam is not a tough one. If you have been sweating it out for JEE then this shouldn't be a problem. As far as the syllabus is concerned, CBSE class XI and class XII are enough. The main problem you will face is lack of time because it requires you to answer 200 questions in 150 minutes which is never easy. Also, the questions comprise of physics, chemistry, mathematics and English where they come in random order. So you need to plan out how you're going to go about it. For CSE, aim for around 135-140 to get a guaranteed seat.
The key to score well is to manage time wisely. Give more time to your strong subjects and make sure you sc

Don't know why you are asking this. If you really want to prepare for one year just to clear MUOET then believe me you will crack it very easily. I will suggest you to prepare for JEE main at least. You will easily cover the syllabus of entrance tests conducted by various private engineering colleges/universities like MUOUT, SRMJEE, VITEEE, etc. Not only in these entrance tests but also in other state level and university level exams.
Following preparation strategy you should follow to crack MUOET in one year:
    1. Start with the basic. Don't run behind the whole syllabus .Just focus on current topic until the whole you understand the whol

Here are some tips and some information that is given below or strategy to crack MUOET in one year:
Officially speaking, Manipal University mentions NCERT as its syllabus for MUOET.
But for physics and maths, NCERT may prove to be insufficient. It can do your job for Chemistry!
For maths and Physics, refer to the books that your coaching has recommended and solved a lot of questions or you can refer Cengage materials.
But for Physics and maths, NCERT may prove to be in the final step, i.e. 2-3 months before MUOET focus on speed and accuracy.
Don't waste time solving lengthier questions, but root for questions which are more based on concept

MUOET is one of the easiest exams in the huge list of entrance exams.
It's marking scheme is a +1 for a correct answer and no marks rewarded for a warning answer.
    There is NO NEGATIVE MARKING.
The marks distribution can easily be googled. Let me tell you things you should know about this exam.
Do not prepare for this exam.
You have JEE Mains, you have advance. Focus solely on that. A strategy of not paying attention to mains and advance and preparing solely for private engineering colleges like MIT, BITS, etc. will not work in your favor.
The better you prepare for mains and advance, the better you'll perform in MUOET and other exams.
