When a candidate has experience of 2 years and he/she wants to pursue in HR, so during how do PI team analyze the experience of candidate?

I am working as Mentors Role at BYJUS and I want to pursue MBA in HR. But my learning in mentors field is limited so at the time of interview do they just complete their formality related to work experience or they can comment that your field is not related to HR field, still you want to pursue HR?
