Seat allotment during the LPU NEST counselling effectively takes place based on your merit (exam) rank, as well as the preferences you fill to course/specialisations while you log in to the portal for admissions after your results are out. From my experience as a student here, I have felt the process is the most smooth as possible, and the process does take careful steps to allow you to have the best chance to have your choices heard in the counselling process, unlike some universities where the process can be extremely confusing. The system does motivate students to obtain the courses which they would like based on what they scored.
