Which are the various categories on which LPU offer scholarship?

Dear Sahiba, let me tell you in detail about the LPU scholarships. LPU has a wide range of scholarships to benefit the students. The scholarships are a boon to the needy and a big encouragement to the meritorious. The best thing about LPU scholarships is what you get at the time of admission continues till the completion of the course. However, the criteria is different for those who have sought admission through sports quota, board toppers and performing arts. If you are a board topper and someone from sports category and extra curricular performance category, you will have to either maintain a CGPA or keep performing in sports or extra curricular activities as the case may be. Otherwise if you have got scholarship through LPU NEST there are no restrictions. Once you get a scholarship, you will get the same amount of scholarship throughout the programme. There are other scholarships too the university offers. Marks based (for previous two qualifying Exams) Performance in other National Level Entrance test Performance in Sports, Performance in Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Services, Bravery Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board Financial Aid for Defense /CAPF and their dependents Financial Aid for Orphan Candidates Financial Aid for Persons with certain disabilities LPUNEST Study Grant Minorities Transgender Non Traditional student Need Based-Financial Aid Single girl child Single Mother Orphan. LPU offers a special scholarship of Full Tuition fee waiver to orphan students who are residents of India and whose both parents are dead. A maximum of 10 applicants will be awarded this scholarship on the basis of a first come first serve basis subject to satisfying the LPU policy for the same. Applicant having Benchmark disability of more than 70% and/or Locomotor disability caused by spinal cord injury can avail the benefit of full programme fee waiver subject his/her case being approved by Special Committee constituted by LPU. LPU offers exclusive Scholarship schemes for Tibetan Students studying in CTA (Central Tibetan Administration) Schools and Students studying in different schools managed by Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan where on the basis of test conducted in schools of the concerned organisation and/or recommendation of the concerned authority of the organisation, certain students may be offered full tuition fee.

Hii there, being a student of LPU I would like to answer your question that the number of scholarships provided by LPU is as follows : 1) There is upto 50% scholarship through LPU NEST Exam. 2) 100% scholarship may also be achieved through Sports / Cultural Scholarship. 3)Scholarships have also been provided to the students based on Percentage in Qualifying Exam. 4) Defense Scholarship provided to wards of Defense personnel. 5) Scholarship can also be achieved based on Rank achieved on the National level Test. 6) Scholarship on performance in Social Service / Bravery (NSS/NCC) 7) Scholarship on performance in Research & Development (R&D) 8) Board Topper and Orphan Scholarships are also available at LPU. 9) Scholarships also be extended to persons with certain disabilities. University never compromise with quality so as per the scholarship deserving candidates get a big financial help from the university with different options where students prove themselves and get acquire scholarship. Students can get scholarship on the behalf of previous two qualifications, LPU NEST national and international achievement, financial aids etc.

Scholarship/ Financial Aid can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. In the last seven years, University has offered Scholarships/ Financial Aid worth 500+ Crores.

Hello Sahiba, I am an alumni of LPU. I did my B.Tech CSE in 2019. LPU gives a great exposure to students like live projects, Internationally benchmarked curriculum, well-equipped labs, and resources, etc. When I joined LPU I got 60 percent of the scholarship every semester on the basis of my +2 marks. The university believes that Money should not be a barrier in education so it provides all the best possible ways to give scholarships. In LPU you can get scholarships in every course from Diplomas to Ph.D. students avail scholarship on the basis of different parameters as per their performance in Percentage in previous or previous to the previous qualification, on the basis on performance or rank in a national level test or exam, achievements in sports, cultural or co-curricular activities, social or national bravery award, defense or CAPF personnel or dependents, orphans or person with a special disability.
