Both these fields have good scope these days, as there are much more number of CSE students than ME, the job offers per capital are almost same. Both have different outcomes and different kind of people do them. This decision may be different fro different people, You need to check your interest and aptitude and se if they align with your aspirations for making the right decision. Which are your favorite subjects, what do you do in free time, what do you like to do as hobbies, what is the most inspiring company or organisation for you. HiIn my opinion it should also depend on your interest as you can excel only in a course in which you are interested. I would opt for CSE as computers are a part of every field. But mechanical too is important as it studies everything in motion, from Wheels of an aircraft to the hard disk of computer to the vibration of mobile phone is being touched upon by Mechanical Engineering, thus making it Omnipresent. Creating professionals who can handle omnipresence of technology and who are capable of moving things efficiently. I can tell you about LPU some: The school has well qualified and experienced faculty members with specialisation in

Dear Siddhu, In the current scenario the maximum number of students are opting for Computer Science branch but I believe if you are more interested in the auto industry then you should go for mechanical engineering. Here in my opinion, Lovely professional university is the one which is offering best in both the streams. LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It is a UGC-approved university which has been ranked well by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its faculty, its placements, its teaching practices, etc. The university provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to se

Both the courses have a very wide scope but according to my personal choice, I would suggest you to go for CSE.
Computer Science engineering is a great field to study in and plan a future along. I would suggest you to either opt for B.Tech in CSE with specialisation in Oil and Gas or Cloud Computing. Both these specialisations have a great scope in India and all across the globe. While the rising demands in oil and gas in the national and international market has increased growth in oil and gas industries, there is an increasing demand of professionals who are equipped with cloud computing skills as organisations are increasingly switc

Both the courses are equally good, if you are good in mathematics and science, then you can go for mechanical. If programming or messing with computers interests you, then you must go for CSE.
I would suggest you to choose mechanical, though it is a core branch and offers wide career prospects chances are even an IT firm would hire you after completing mechanical engineering.

Siddhu don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want do after studying B.Tech. You may take following considerations. If you like computer, want to build crazy application or something related to software go with Computer Science engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering. Or Electrical engineering. If you are India, after studying Electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only few percent gets chance in electronics companies. So I would suggest, better to study Computer Science engineering. If you want to sa

CSE, no doubt, has better scope than mechanical engineering because there are a lot of mechanical engineers available now but the jobs for them are less in number.
