Both of them have good scope but if you are good in physics then mechanical is best for you.

Mechanical engineering is called the evergreen branch as mechanical engineers find suitable placements in almost all segments in industry. Civil engineering is still a fruitful option with several construction companies and metro rail corporations emerging. In public sector there are opportunities for Civil Engineers in academics, PWDs, public health engineering and water authority and irrigation departments. Entrepreneurial opportunities are limitless. Remember, dreams are not what you see in sleep, dreams are those that do not let you sleep.

    Hello,
See both the branches are a very great option to go for it basically depends on your interest and passion that how hardly you are trying to learn new concepts and technology. In India, there are various job opportunities for both of these branches in public sector. There are many government jobs available for mechanical and civil engineers but for that you have to clear the examination that is conducted by the government councils and you must be eligible to appear for such kind of examination. You can also go for private jobs in the desired field of your choice but all you need is the combination of theoretical knowledge of pract

Every branch is good provided you have a strong interest in that. I will brief you both and its prospects then you can decide as per your orientation. As we all know that Civil engineers are responsible for building things like tunnels and highways, while mechanical engineers focus on mechanical products. Mechanical engineers may work with smaller items, such as medical devices, or they may work on mechanical systems in buildings, such as power generators etc. B.Tech Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that involves production, designing, and operations of machines whereas B.Tech Civil articulates the concepts from basi

Dear Arijit, Both mechanical and civil engineering are core branches of engineering and have good scope. The programme selection depends on your interest only. The following are the good institutes for engineering programmes with good placements:
    IITs/NITs
    LPU
    Amity
    SASTRA
    DTU
My friends did B.Tech in Civil and Mechanical engineering from LPU itself and got placed in reputed MNCs. Commendable Placement: In LPU, more than 550+ national and multinational companies visit for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for the civil and mechanical engineering programme is 31

Dear Arjit, If you get overwhelmed by the structures and construction, civil engineering is the one for you. If you are intrigued by machine designs, their mechanics, and dynamics, go for mechanical engineering. LPU is the best engineering college in India. LPU becomes the best place to pursue an engineering degree with highly qualified teaching staff, best laboratories, and modern technologies. LPU provides abundant opportunities for students to think out of the box. Both are good streams but it depends on your interest as to which stream you want to join and interested in. Mechanical engineering yields some similarities, the biggest

The scope of the course is the first thing a student considers before joining the engineering sector. Mechanical and civil engineering, in specifically, are rising in popularity with each passing year. Previously restricted for the computer Science and IT disciplines, the boom and frenzy has transferred to the mechanical and civil fields. Mechanical engineering, on the other hand, has a broader scope than civil engineering because it is a fundamental area. Mechanical engineering has a greater scope than civil engineering due to its superior and larger themes. Civil engineering focuses on a certain topic, whereas mechanical engineering

I've had a really good experience with the mechanical engineering faculty at Chandigarh University. Most of them are PhD holders, so you can tell they know their subject inside out. What I like is that they're not just teaching from books—they share real-world examples, guide us in labs, and help with projects. The faculty is approachable, so if you ever get stuck on something, you can just ask, and they'll explain patiently. They also encourage students to explore electives like Thermal & Energy Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or Design & Robotics, and help you pick what suits your career goals.

Plus, with all the collab

Yes, Chandigarh University is a good choice for B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. What I really like about the programme is the variety of specializations you can pick, like Thermal & Energy, Industrial Manufacturing & Management, or Automation & Robotics. The labs are another strong point from 3D printing and advanced welding labs to industry-backed centres by Honda, Mahindra, Hyundai, and MG Motors. These collaborations give you hands-on exposure that feels very close to real-world industry work. On top of that, the department is both ABET and NBA accredited, which adds global recognition. With regular industrial visits, workshops, and
