Comparing the colleges for mechanical engineering, the most part should be considered are the academic curriculum, training of the field as well placement combined.
Comparing the institutes in all those above-mentioned parameters, one should go with PES-Bangalore for mechanical.
The teaching faculty, alumni network and placement statistics of the college is remarkable for the past year.
Although, MS Ramaiah being an autonomous institute is also working and performing hard and hence comparable to PES-Bangalore. The placement statistics for the average package offered are 8 LPA and 7 LPA respectively from PS and MSRIT. Also, the highest be

PES is superior to anything MSRIT.MSRIT is one of the most established schools which offer great quality education. The course instructive projects in PES University are incredibly enhanced than MSRIT. Subjects are especially in a condition of agreement according to the present business measures. As MSRIT is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology so it follows the curriculum and syllabus of Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology.
Whereas, PES-Bangalore is in private university which follows its own curriculum and syllabus so there ought to be difference between the syllabus and curriculum of the colleges.
As both the colleges are amongst the best top colleges of India as well as of Bangalore, they are known for their infrastructure, faculties and facilities.
So there isn't much comparison between infrastructure and facilities provided by both the colleges.
Now let's talk about the placements:

    PES is better than MSRIT.
With regard to placement and job opportunities I can say that PES University provides one of the best placements among all universities. There are many companies including excellent core companies for CS, EEE , Mechanical and civil student. PES University makes sure even if you are an average student to give you ample of opportunity for placement.
Placement scene is good in MSRIT also but it is not as good as PES University.
The course curriculum in PES University is much better than MSRIT. Subjects are very much in sync according to the current industry standards. Overall I can say that the course curriculum in

Both the colleges are among the top 5 list of the best private colleges in Bangalore where, MSRIT ranks 3 on the list while PES is found on the 4 position on the same list.
While both the colleges are known for excellent placement records in the past, whichever choose you from will ensure you of a good placement.
Had this question been about computer science engineering, I would have recommended you to go for PES, Bangalore but when you choose to pursue mechanical engineering, you should really consider MSRIT as your first choice, as it is known to have a really good faculty for mechanical branch, being really supportive and helpful.
