Law department at LPU is one of the first departments that came up when LPU was taking its shape. According to NIRF ranking the Law School is ranked 24th. The vision of the school is studying by books is not a rule of Law. The course aims at preparing the students with an interest to pursue legal education with social sciences to benefit society. Creation of well trained and dedicated professionals in the legal framework. It also aims at nurturing a graduate with in depth knowledge of different aspects of laws comprising civil, criminal, taxation and international laws and ensuring conceptual clarity for judicial services aspirants. Law students are prepared to spot legal issues from a set of hypothetical facts and brainstorm various legal consequences, to be a perfect legal professional. The courses are approved by the Bar Council of India. The eligibility criteria for the course is 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent.
