As per my knowledge, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is better than BITS Pilani in terms of placements. The placement opportunity in Thapar is simply impeccable. Last year, almost 80 - 85% of students got placed with good packages in big companies like KPMG, IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. The average package is around 7 Lacs per annum INR. The highest package goes around 40-45 Lacs. Since the faculty there have a strong corporate network, Internships provided to the students are quite good. It has a dedicated training and placement cell that makes sure that every student gets an internship.

Thapar University is for sure better than any other. I feel, these points will be enough:-
    1. Nestle, Deloitte, KPMG, Kellogs, Hyundai, PayTM, Intel etc. Names are enough to tell you about opportunities.
    2. The faculty comprises of international & national experience holders in industry.
    3. The curriculum is globally inspired.
    4. International placements & internships.

The finest university for placement, in my opinion, is Thapar. It's placed quite well. Students at the Thapar Institute received more than 300 scholarships last year, and the student who received the biggest package 43 lacs was hired by major organisations.
