Hi Saurabh, Being an Education Consultant I got a chance to visit there at LPU also. What a wonderful infrastructure and highly qualified faculty they have. If you take my opinion, to take admission in LPU is little difficult as compare to Amity University. Simply means, LPU is focusing to the above average students. # For satisfying the Eligibility criteria of B.Arch in LPU, either candidate must be NATA qualified having average score of 80 minimum or JEE Main paper II must be qualified along with this Candidate musthave minimum 60% aggregate marks in 12th grade with English must be studied as a subject and a candidate should also hav

    Hi,
I would choose LPU which. Tends to change instruction through scholastic meticulousness; pragmatic direction and result based education. Hello,
Being an LPU Alumni, I can say B.Arch programme at LPU is one of the leading programme in India. B.Arch at LPU is a good choice based on my own personal experience. The faculty is very experienced and highly educated. In the programme, innovative teaching practices are adopted. One such practice is called Experiential learning week which is organized every semester in which students are taken to nearby historic and construction sites and are given live case studies to do. In design studios, the professors encourage students to take challenging and practical design problems. There is a rich culture of internships for final year st

LPU is the only university which offers 3d printing and Laser cutting techniques for the students. Internships start from 9th semester. Placement coordinator assists in placements. No other university helps in the placements as LPU does. Council of Architecture (C. O. As an education consultant, I keep an eye on what is offered in the institutes. As per your query of comparison, both institutes are doing good but when it comes to exposure, expert training and placements, no one can beat LPU. LPU floats more than 250 programmes out of which B.Arch is one high in demand. # The Architecture Programmes are approved by Council of Architecture (COA), a statutory body of the Government of India for the regulation of the architectural education and practice of profession as required. Hi, Selecting an institute is one of the difficult tasks. Out of Amity University and LPU, definitely I gave my vote to LPU because I know how the education is imparted and what efforts they are doing for their children. The way they are providing education is commendable. The architecture department is approved by COA and serves the purpose to create professionals who have a manual as well as computerized planning and designing skills on leading design software. The programmes are structured in five groups taking care of every dimension of the growing and ever-changing design industry viz. Core Courses, Supporting Courses, Skill Devel

Absolutely, either NATA or JEE Paper 2 (B.Arch Aptitude Test) is compulsory for admission into Chandigarh University's architecture program. Even if a student has scored well in 12th or diploma, the aptitude test cannot be skipped because it is mandated by the Council of Architecture. These tests measure skills beyond academics, such as visualization, design sense, and problem-solving, which are vital in the architectural profession. Students are advised to register for at least one of these exams in the admission year. Yes, NCERT Mathematics (Class 11 & 12) is generally enough for NATA preparation because most of the topics in the syllabus are covered in NCERT.

The NATA Mathematics section usually tests:

Vectors

Differential & Integral Calculus

NCERT will give you a strong base, but since NATA questions are often application-based, you may also want to:

Practice MCQs and previous year NATA/JEE Paper 2 Maths questions

Strengthen speed and accuracy in problem-solving

Use reference books (like R.D. Sharma or Arihant) if you want extra practice

For NATA, you don't need to study architecture as a full subject before the exam. However, having a basic awareness is very helpful because the General Aptitude section includes questions on:

  • Famous architects (like Le Corbusier, B.V. Doshi, Zaha Hadid, etc.)
  • Well-known monuments and buildings in India and abroad
  • Basic architectural terms (e.g., façade, elevation, plan, symmetry)
  • Environmental and design awareness (sustainable design, urban planning, materials)
  • So instead of studying architectural theory in depth, focus on:
  • Reading about important structures and landmarks
  • Learning about basic design principles (proportion, balance, perspecti
