Which college would be better for B.Sc. in agriculture among Doon Business School, Dehradun and LPU?

Being an alumni of LPU I would rather say that the school of Agriculture in Lovely Professional University is among the best place for pursuing the B.Sc in agriculture. Now you would be saying why I am saying like that, actually my cousin has completed his degree from here only. The most significant thing which should be emphasized is that LPU is the first private university which has been approved by ICAR. I along with my cousins had visited the fields, labs. In order to infuse understanding on emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture field visits are conducted to neighboring farms, orchards and nurseries. Not only subject related education is imparted but also the professional enhancement is added by the university through the different courses like soft skills and communication skills. Dear MD Khader, When it comes to agriculture programme, I always refer to the LPU for B.Sc. Agriculture, LPU is the first private university that got approval by ICAR. (I). The school of Agriculture was approved for accreditation for period of five years with GPAC of 3.42 (ii) The following degree programs were approved for accreditation for a period of five years B.Sc. (Hons. ). Agriculture with GPAP of 3.72 Let me share the eligibility criteria for admission in B.Sc. Agriculture programme Eligibility Criteria: Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English Physics Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. Hello Mohd, I have spent 4 years in lpu for my studies and I have seen that the agriculture department is one of the finest departments. Well-equipped and well grown from the last couple of years. Moreover, LPU is the first private university got ICAR approval. LPU holds a stellar record in placements as big brands like VLCC Healthcare Ltd. , Ankur Seeds, HDFC, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. , Ebro India Pvt. Ltd. , etc. Have visited for campus recruitment at packages upto 4.5 LPA. In addition to this, students can attain positions as Agriculture Inspectors, Agriculture Officers, POs, Food Quality Inspectors, Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Technical Assistants and administrative posts in government and non-government organizations. Over and above, I also came to know that recently, LPU has been ranked in top 80 amongst all private and government institutes by NIRF, MHRD, GOI which shows the quality being delivered at the institute.

Hello, LPU is the best. LPU School of Agriculture is one of the best agriculture institutes in Punjab and India. It places a strong emphasis on agricultural and related studies. The institution features well-equipped laboratories, a library, lecture rooms, and a fantastic farm where agricultural experiments can be conducted. The international camp was held to allow students to showcase their projects on sustainable water resource management. LPU is one of the best choice for agriculture programme. Lovely Professional University is first private university accredited by Indian Council of Agricultural Research. No other private university has this accreditation. LPU is one of the great place for education where the management actually believe on actions rather than words. Whatever they promised they delivered to us along with in campus placement at good package. The Eligibility of B.Sc. Agriculture is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent.

Hi, In my perspective, I gave my vote to LPU for B.Sc. In agriculture as one of my cousins graduated in this course from LPU and I will highlight some of the features. 1. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. 2. The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph. Ds. and provide full support to the students. 3. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held and if a faculty wants a leave either the makeup lectures are planned or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. 4. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. 5. University provides additional placement oriented classes and students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etc. as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms. Thanks.

In my opinion LPU is better in all aspects considering all the below factors:- Lovely professional university is the first private university to get accreditation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). LPU provides the quality education by the well qualified teachers. LPU has become a brand across the globe. It has various national and international tie-ups. LPU excels in terms of placement as well. Students of agriculture are availing a good amount of packages from the recruiters. LPU provides a proper atmosphere or environment for agriculture students. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Students here are given the opportunity to work on the live projects. University provides additional professional enhancement classes as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. LPU excels in terms of placement as well.
