Animation industry in India is expected to grow at a pace faster than even the IT industry's! Animation as a career option is a field where you can use your creative juices. Hi CS has better scope if you're good with mathematics and programming. If not, then go for VFX. The prospects for VFX training are gigantic. There is an incredible amount of scope available for students who are willing to build a solid career for themselves. The employment of multimedia artists and VFX artist is projected to grow day by day. Projected growth will be the demand for animation and visual effects in video games, movies, and television. The animation career is one of these days ' most lucrative and desirable courses. The ROI for B.Tech CSE is also quite good if pursued from a good college. You need to check your interest as you can perform the best in a field in which you are interested. I would suggest you browse the website of LPU which clearly states the syllabus and the topics for both courses. This will help you to decide. I just want to say that whatever you do from where we do just think it twice thrice at least you must not regret after few years that you have chosen a wrong career. One name is coming on remind which is one of the best and premier institute of the India lovely professional University Jalandhar Punjab. They offer both the programs but I can assume that you would have more Steep interest in VFX. Just few days ago I have inquired and I came to know that they are running 6 different Undergraduate degrees under the School of Animation. Out of those six separate degrees, two were of Gaming: B.Sc (Design-Gaming) 3 years Degree. B. Design (Gaming) 4 Years Degree. As per LPU, they says that they provide 100% placement to all the eligible candidates and the placement aspiring candidates. Online admissions are in process at LPU, which means their academic Executives will be taking calls to guide the candidates. You can try calling them or visit their website to know the updated fee structure also. I heard they have relaxed their eligibility criteria for various programmes aiming to facilitate the candidates against COVID 19 pandemic and they also offered scholarship of word 20 crore rupees for corona virus survivors. Dear Kapil CS has better scope if you're good with mathematics and programming. If not, then go for VFX. If you take up VFX, it would be better if you do it after learning animation, otherwise you'd be stuck in a Rotoscopy job for lifetime. Also, it would be helpful, if you're good with dynamics, or matte painting, since those would offer you areas for growth.
