Which course should I pursue among M.Tech and MBA for a better future and more job opportunities?

I would suggest you go for MBA as its hard truth that tech is not for you or you should explore other career options like law.

MBA can be equally beneficial even if done from private colleges provided that you have chosen the one from the A-list. If you pursue MBA from government colleges like Iims you hold the reputation for the rest of your life. There are many students who get the same package from Tier-1 private college as the Iims. M.Tech and MBA both have very good career options, it would be an injustice to compare both of them. Both of them have their own perks. You should choose one among them based on your interest and capability. M.Tech gives you more knowledge into technical sector and the ability to think new which can lead to innovation, this helps you very well if you're planning on growing your career towards tech sector. MBA helps you build a good career as well but into a different field I. e. Management jobs, and it helps you if you're planning on getting into Business world. M.Tech is highly reputed in the area of engineering and Technology, whereas MBA is popular in the area of Business Management. You are saying that you've less percentage in your BE, I don't know the reason behind that but if the reason is you are not interested in engineering, then it might be good for you if you don't choose M.Tech which deals with Technology again. Honest opinion- Anything related to technology the world has many managers people who can account for money and meet deadlines. The world needs innovators who can lanuch satellites and discover new horizons.

Both are different but, according to me, the scope of the courses will help a person to decide whether to go for MBA or M.Tech. M.Tech- If from an IIT, you might bag a job of more than 7LPA but if not from an IIT then the scope of M.Tech is teaching. Now it is one's own choice whether he or she wants to teach or not. MBA-Most of the times after an MBA, one bags a job in a MNC but unfortunately if not that then there is no other choice. Plus job satisfaction is poor according to me and if one becomes a professor after doing M.Tech in a government college then his or her life will be peaceful.

It depends on your interest. In general, I would suggest M.Tech since it is relevant to your field. If you have an idea of getting into business then take MBA. Based on your percentage, hope you can choose MBA.

There are ample job opportunities after both the programs. You must first check your interests, aptitude, hobbies, attitude, bent of mind and ASPIRATIONS before taking a plunge into any of these. Also you must consult your present teachers/mentors too. If your interest is more of technical then M.Tech makes sense but if not, then go for MBA. M.Tech will lead you to deeper study and research in your core field of engineering. The career following M.Tech will be more oriented towards teaching, research and consulting. MBA will lead you to gaining management skills in whichever specialisation you do. The career following MBA will be more towards techno-management roles, more into corporate and entrepreneurship. So it is your choice! But whatever you decide, pursue only from universities of high repute like Iims, PU, IITS, SIBM, VIT, BITs and LPU etc. Hope this helps.

Hi, Both are good options. Your choice must depend on your interest. If you want to remain in technical line then go for M.Tech. If you want to go into management or managerial line, go for MBA. Both have their own benefits. Best of luck!

It depends on the field in which you want to make your career. After completing MBA, you will get managerial jobs. You can get a good job in the corporate sector. If you are interested in the technical field, then you should opt for M.Tech.

Choose any course wisely keeping your interest in your mind. Both courses give you ample of opportunities and have their own importance and need. If you are technically sound and has flair for technology then go for M.Tech else do MBA. You need to qualify any entrance test (such as CAT / MAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ CMAT / GMAT/ NEST and should also have min of 50% to 55% in your Bachelors. You can do MBA in any specializations of your interest. Some Good Colleges are: IIMS, Xavier's Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur (accepts XAT) Lovely Professional University, Punjab (accepts/CAT/MAT/XAT/LPUNEST) Department of Management Studies.
