You didn't score well in BE. It is quite evident that you are not good in engineering subjects or you have less interest in engineering. If you think that you are good in engineering, and due to some reason you didn't score well in BE, then prepare for GATE. Even if you score well in GATE, you may not get a seat in IISC, IITs, NITs or BITs due to the eligibility criteria (60 % and above requirement in BE or B.Tech).
According to me, you should opt for MBA in a good management college. -

It depends on the field in which you want to make your career.
After completing MBA, you will get managerial jobs. You can get a good job in the corporate sector.
If you are interested in the technical field, then you should opt for M.Tech.
The salary package depends on the skills you possess and the brand value of your college. -

MBAs are great for a career change and thriving business opportunities. Graduates of part-time or full-time MBA programs have higher chances of holding a high-level management position and enjoying successful MBA careers. Over 50% of MBA graduates worldwide are senior managers or board directors. I did my MBA at LPU and it has helped me grow professionally and also add a lot to my career growth. Being an alumnus of LPU I would prefer LPU as it provides exposure to various opportunities in terms of internships, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, placements, etc. Highlights of MBA at LPU are - 1) Accredited by ACBSP (USA). 2)...more

MBA and M Tech, both will offer you what you are looking for (good job with good pay). However, the choice should be based upon your interest rather than the money earned because five-six years down the line, you will be earning enough, but your job should be motivating enough to get you to work everyday. So take a decision based upon your area of interest. M Tech will provide an opportunity to expand your knowledge further in the field that you are currently in. You get a chance to explore and dig deeper into concepts that intrigued you in your graduation. Your technical skills are enhanced and you can become a subject matter expert i...more

While an MBA prepares you for generalist roles and opens your avenues in non-technical industries, an M.Tech qualification offers you plush jobs and a freedom to take your love for technology to the next level. An M.Tech degree offers opportunities in the academia, research & development and technical fields. The Employment Level and Salary packages in MBA is definitely having an upper hand over M.Tech graduates as MBA Students will start with a trademark salary of around 80 K to 1 lack bucks per month which is a huge amount in Indian currency whereas in US $ they will be earning around 1000$ per Week. If you want an easy transitio...more

Dear Idrees, M.Tech or MBA is always an additional advantage to an engineer whether it is in terms of experience, knowledge or seniority. Whether it be an IT, manufacturing, or R&D driven establishment, there would be requirements for both M. Techs and MBAs. The M. Techs would be more of a subject matter specialist, whereas the MBAs would handle product sales and marketing, project management, IT process, human resources, consulting and customer service management etc. Doing M.Tech in a particular field would make you invaluable for a company that has business profile of that field. Being an MBA on other hand will give you a totally di...more

4 years agoHi Dear, As I am observing your percentage is little low in your graduation. MBA would be a good option for you. Well, M.Tech will lead you to deeper study and research in your core field of engineering. The career following M.Tech will be more oriented towards teaching, research and consulting. MBA will lead you to gaining management skills in whichever specialization you do. The career following MBA will be more towards techno-management roles, more into corporate and entrepreneurship. So it is your choice!
Go check your interests, aptitude, hobbies, attitude, bent of mind and ASPIRATIONS before taking a plunge into any of these. But...more -
