The study of mass communication is often associated with the practical applications of journalism (Print media), television and radio broadcasting, film, public relations, or advertising. On the other hand, interior designing interior designing is the art or process of designing the interior, often including the exterior, of a room or building. An interior designer is someone who coordinates and manages such projects. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, communicating with the stakeholders of a project and the management and execution of the design.

Hi Raman,All of these are good and impactful. And, definitely helps the student to fetch a good job. However, it depends upon your interest and dedication. Which field you like the most? Both are very much different. Journalism and mass communication is all about language, your command, fluency, knowledge, intelligence, attitude, alertness etc. While interior designing is all about beauty, creativity, etc. After completing BJMC, you will be having options of getting into media houses, PR Houses, government sector, communicator, writer, traveler, photographer etc. While with designing course you can be an interior designer.

The choice of subjects totally depends on your interest and capabilities.
Both if these are creative as well as practical subjects where you'll on one end learn the art of designing interiors and on the other end the spheres of learnings are a bit wide where you learn writing, anchoring, designing, advertising, etc.
But it depends on you which call would you like to make.

Journalism and mass communication is very different from interior designing. If an individual has creative bent of mind and likes to create design spaces, then interior designing is a good career option. If someone has flair in writing and news reporting, then journalism is an ideal career option. Mass communication has wider scope with print, electronic, social media, advertising, journalism and media planning.

Either journalism or interior designing, success depends on your interest and your passion. Opt for the one you are interested in. Do remember one thing, if you are passionate about something, you give your 100% in it and enjoy doing it. This is the only mantra of Success. Please check and confirm interest and aptitude first. Understand work profiles available and required skill-set. No profession is 'bad' if ethically and conceptually practised. It all depends on the IQ of the learner. The more aware you make yourself, more opportunities you may gain.
