It all depends on your area of interest. Since the personalities seem to be different for both mentioned stream as for journalism and mass communication an extrovert go-getter can prove to be a better fit, in my view as outspoken people can mix and fetch better clients and opportunities for the firms they will work, whereas, interior design is a stream where concentration is more required on few projects to make them world class. In comparison to mass media, it has a limited scope for personal development if a person is introvert in nature so it all depends upon the kind of person you are.

Journalism and mass communication works hand in hand, whereas, interior design is a different thing. So, go for mass communication and you can achieve great heights.

Both Interior Designing and Journalism, Media and Communication are distinct and have a whole lot of opportunities for to look forward to - both as an undergraduate post graduate student. While on completion of Journalism, Media & Communication, students gain an understanding about the different channels of communications (e.g. print, digital, Radio, Television, Advertising fields), a course in Interior Designing equips students with the nuances of methods and processes, design objects and designing different spaces (e.g. commercial, residential, offices etc.).

  • Hi Raman, It depends on your area of interest. Both are completely different fields and have no comparison. I think the best is interior designing,. Interior design has a wide scope and longterm and never ending demand. The same space needs interior design averagely once in each 5year. If you can find clients of good taste and rich you can earn a lot. Both courses are Arts based course which requires a lot of creativity and aptitude.

Dear Raman, Both are great courses and positions for your life. My sister is an interior designer so I know how much more attractive and how much more has this course flourished. But yes, for a lively life, for knowing things you never thought you experience, mass communication would be a better place for that. It depends on your field of interest. Both are completely different fields and have no comparison.
