Dear Narotham, Both Lovely Professional and SRM University are good but being alumni of LPU I can only provide you with the details of B.Tech in ME (Mechatronics) at LPU. LPU is the best option for Mechatronics. LPU is a brand in itself. I am also a aspirant of Mechatronics with Robotics in SRM University. I have well researched and SRM IST is the best. Seniors have felt satisfied and seems the faculty is very helpful. Campus is awesome! 'Lovely' isn't a University level.

Is Lovely Professional University even a university? SRM is better for mechatronics because you have better labs and opportunities. Campus is really good placements are also decent and then, please don't go for Lovely.

Though, as been earlier established and better academics, I would suggest SRM over LPU. Though, mechatronics has very less scope in India and it may lead to suffer you a lot after your graduation. I suggest you to switch to IT, CSE or mechanical branch or choose IITs, MANIPAL or BITS for your branch.
