Mechanical engineering is the branch of engineering which deals with the design, manufacturing, maintenance and testing of machines. It is also considered as one of the most diverse and versatile disciplines of engineering. Mechanical engineering also includes the application of mechanics, material Science, applied mathematics and Physics. With the rise of modern technology, mechanical engineering has witnessed newfound importance with more and more students opting to learn less explored domains of robotics, mechatronics, nanotechnology, etc. Few good colleges for mechanical engineering other than IITs are MIT Manipal, COEP Pune, SRM University Chennai, VIT Vellore, Lovely Professional University Punjab, Dayanand Sagar College Bangalore. While I was surveying the course and curriculum I found LPU a very happening university. LPU is good for Mechanical Engineering. Good placements in core company as well as multinational companies. Other than participating in various events like Go Kart, project expo, entertainment events like One India, One World etc. Practical based learning, live projects and valuable sessions rendered by industry experts creates a larger spectrum of learning. I am also a aspirant of Mechatronics with Robotics in SRM University. I have well researched and SRM IST is the best. Seniors have felt satisfied and seems the faculty is very helpful. Campus is awesome! 'Lovely' isn't a University level.

Shivam Srivastava · Answer

Is Lovely Professional University even a university? SRM is better for mechatronics because you have better labs and opportunities. Campus is really good placements are also decent and then, please don't go for Lovely.

Manish Motwani · Answer

Though, as been earlier established and better academics, I would suggest SRM over LPU. Though, mechatronics has very less scope in India and it may lead to suffer you a lot after your graduation. I suggest you to switch to IT, CSE or mechanical branch or choose IITs, MANIPAL or BITS for your branch.
