Core branches are good like civil, mechanical and CSE/IT.

I would suggest you to opt core branches only - Mechanical, Electrical, Civil etc. as for the new hybrid branches career is limited to private sector only and government jobs are very low.

According to present scenario, CS and IT is the main and best branch but according to 5 years later scenario EEE and ECE students will rule in the market and fetch more placements as well as handsome amount of package.

Well, there can be many aspects to be considered while choosing a branch (stream) for B.Tech. I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering. So, here I will try to give my opinion based on my experience.
No branch is less or more important, each of them has its own importance, it solely depends on you, in which stream you want to make your career. See, there are enough jobs for every stream, what a company needs is quality engineers. Well, there can be many aspects to be considered while choosing a branch (stream) for B.Tech. I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering. So, here I will try to give my opinion based on my experience.
No branch is less or more important, each of them has its own importance, it solely depends on you, in which stream you want to make your career. See, there are enough jobs for every stream, what a company needs is quality engineers. So, if you are dead serious for your better future and giving parallel dedication towards it, you are definitely going to succeed.
But then there are some factors that you should consider before making any decision like:
Area of interest: Before being confused with others opinion, ask yourself, in which stream you have more interest, what attracts you more, by this approach you'll find a better way to choose a branch.
Approach: If your any family member or relative is already an engineer or can help you in future to get a job then consult them, if they can provide you reference when you pass out. Look we all know that in INDIA nothing is required more than a source (reference) to get a job. So if any reference you have then pursue B.Tech in that particular stream.
College Profile: In every college (even in IITs, NITs) some specific branches are more valuable than others, in terms of Placements, Faculties and Laboratory, so if you've decided a college then start gathering information about these facts before choosing/applying for any stream.
If you are still confused then let me tell you some basic overview of all the streams in terms of the job. After all, this is the reason we are all here.
CSE & IT: First of all, I recommend you to try to prefer CSE over IT. If you don't like maths, have some creativity (good for web development), don't like to read and write a lot, love technologies and most important want to pursue a career in the private sector (Govt. jobs are very rare) then welcome.
Civil & Mechanical: As the name indicates, if you love maths and willing to give your 4 years to huge books that you've never seen before (some books are as huge as Ramayana, Geeta) jokes apart, If you like to pursue a career in govt sector then definitely go with these two.
EC & EE: If you are interested in modern physics, and want to make a career in Industries or govt, then come up with these two.
Chemical: So if in 12th chemistry was your crush and you want to make a sequel of this love story then prefer the chemical branch.

From my point of view computer science and IT branches are much better. Current world is totally based on automation and CSE has very good scope, especially in machine learning and data analyst.

Hello, B.Tech BE in CSE or ECE is a good option as per today's requirement and there are good placements today. But companies only take students who have extra skills along with the degree. They don't just take degree holders. So, do extra courses and job will be in your hand. Cities like Pune, Bangalore are more prone to jobs in these sectors. Best of luck.

Hello,
All branches in engineering are unique in themselves. Some streams might have common subjects. But selecting streams is completely based on your interests and inclination. If you are unsure you can undertake a stream selector in engineering.

As I am from Civil engineering branch, I will say that civil is the best one but I equally respect all other branches of engineering. It depends on personal interest and if you have interest in anything, you can ace it. All the best.
