Which is the best stream among civil and mechanical engineering?

Sanga, for choosing between Civil engg and Mechanical engineering you need to question yourself the following: Am I confortable working outdoors all the time (opt for Civil), Do I have a flair for designing buildings etc (opt for Civil), Do I like playing with machines, dismantling them, re-connecting them (opt for mechanical), Is there any chance that I lose interest in engineering later in my life and would want to change my filed (then opt for Mechanical), Would I like to do business and open an office of mine (Opt for Civil if you have good financial resources, opt for Mehanical if you can make do with a small workshop like thin...more -
At present civil is inferior to mechanical.
But it depends upon ur interest and about placement it depends upon the college u choose.
Both are evergreen fields. -

both are good these days . civil will provide u some desk work while in mechanical there BC is desk well as workshop type jobs
