As a student of Lovely Professional University both the university are great at their places. But in my point of view studying in LPU is much better because of their Ranking, education, placement, generation and infrastructure in each component LPU is better. Dear Arvind, If anybody asks me about the CSE programme, then I recommend LPU always. I have no idea about Thapar University. One of my friend's younger brothers is studying over there in B.Tech CSE. There are some points I would like to share about why CSE is good from LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students.
