After doing only BCA getting job opportunities will be difficult and you will have to do MCA (3 years). After that you will have some Probability of getting job. Even after investing your 6 years you will not get the package equivalent to B.Tech student. I would advise you to go for B.Tech for complete learning and wider career options.

As an ex-student of CSE, I would recommend B.tech over BCA. I am an alumnus of LPU, and got placed in MNC by LPU placements. LPU provides everything that an engineering student requires to achieve quality education and placements.
Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, are an integral part of the curriculum.
In addition to core curricula, the course offers subjects like communication, analytical and soft skills to enhance personality and employability.

BCA is related to computers. In B.Tech, there are many branches. If you want to take CSE or IT, then you must go for B.Tech rather than BCA.

    Hi,
In terms of job potential and quality job potential, B.Tech in CS or IT is much more valued than BCA. Hence, B.Tech is better than BCA. Moreover, B.Tech is a 4-year undergraduate course in engineering domain whereas BCA is 3 years undergraduate course in IT professional domain.
