Hi there,
University of Mumbai is a good university but it does not have all affiliated colleges which could be said to be good in terms of Law. For instance GLC is a good law college amongst others. But not every college is a good college in terms of law. However, Symbiosis law school would be a particular choice of college and you can expect a very good career while on campus owing to its good placement opportunities. Also, it has been a known name in terms of law for decades and is much preferred private institute for Law in that region.
So, between the University of Mumbai and Symbiosis Pune the latter would be a good preference prov...more -
Hi,
It depends a lot on which college you plan to complete your LLB from. If you get into GLC, I think it is better than Symbiosis Law School. The reasons being, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious law colleges. Hence, it has a strong alumni base in not only top law firms but also in the judiciary. A lot of judges and partners in law firms are graduates of GLC Mumbai. It has also a great academic record. Most of the students of GLC spend their time working for lawyers in the Bombay High Court or interning with Law firms.
Other colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai aren't that great. Between those colleges and Symbiosi...more -
Without further any ado let me tell you that between University of Mumbai and SLS, the choice depends, i.e. if you wish to study in Government Law College, Mumbai then definitely go for it as it is one of the oldest, reputed law colleges with an excellent alumni record and brilliant placement tracks. Also, academic wise, GLC has no competition, though it may lack in the debating and mooting culture. However, recently it may be out of tracks. Nevertheless, GLC is GLC.
The best part about SLS is the campus recruitment for top shot law firms like Amarchand Mangalda, Luthra & Luthra, etc. come to recruit students. SLS is fast becoming a bra...more -
Hi,
My suggestion would be Symbiosis Law School over University of Mumbai.
The Symbiosis Law School is known for its quality education and academic activities for its students.
Symbiosis also has a very well equipped library and a wonderful campus based on international standards.
Placements also are very good in the Symbiosis with top law firms and corporate offices amongst the recruiters. The placement cell is very active at the SLS which also endeavors to provide such opportunities to all batches of students to develop skills important for legal professionals which include Resume Writing Workshop, Personal excellence program which help...more -
I'll prefer symbi cause it's most famous private college for law. education, campus , faculty , placement all are auspicious.
