Hello, Since the day I choose PCM for myself, I had a keen interest in Chemistry and chemical labs. Though I am a B.Tech graduate from LPU, I had a roommate who was enrolled in B.Sc. Hons Chemistry and we always use to share experiences with each other. I can not comment anything about others, I can just share my experience, I hope that helps you in taking a wise decision. To bridge this industry-academia gap, LPU prepares their students by offering them state-of-the-art labs having top-of-the-line equipment to fulfill their dreams in the field of research and technology. In semester 1st and 2nd : There will be the introduction to fundamental aspects of general and physical chemistry. In 2nd semester, mainly inorganic chemistry will be discussed. Students will learn the laboratory and practical techniques needed for the later years of the course. Students have to choose and elective paper on applied chemistry as well. In semester 3rd and 4th : Physical, Inorganic and analytical chemistry will be taught in 3rd semester. Organic chemistry will be covered in semester 4th. The experimental work will be continued throughout the session to develop the theoretical knowledge and practical as well. Additional papers covering chemistry of consumer products, chemical kinetics, and catalysis & solid state chemistry will help them to enhance their skills in the field of chemistry. In semester 5th and 6th : Students will undertake more advanced study of the inorganic, physical, analytical and organic chemistry, given the choice to choose optional papers in areas of bio-inorganic, selected topics in inorganic chemistry, chemistry of polymers and chemistry of synthetic drugs keeping the experimental study parallel with the electives. Graduates of this course from LPU will be better prepared to understand the new environment-friendly systems and can understand the processes that the chemical industry is adopting. After doing B.Sc. Chemistry, one can go for M.Sc. In Chemistry or take up various jobs and also take up internships to prepare for industry level entries. According to me, LPU is good for those students who actually want to do study as they have well-furnished and equipped laboratories, they have almost every instrument which is needed in the advance practical work and knowledge implementation. Candidates who have completed their graduation from a recognised university or institution in Bachelors degree (any discipline + with Chemistry or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. With a minimum overall aggregate of 55% or more are eligible to apply for the M.Sc. Course Lovely Professional University is good University for pursuing B.Sc. Chemistry due to the following points that will help you to make your decision: Faculty: Most of faculty members are from IIT, IIIT, NIT, IIM, IHM or from elite Schools (India/Abroad. They have decade of experience. Faculty is really helping. Even they helps after regular university hours for projects. Standard of students: They did not compromise on the quality of the students.
