LPU is good for B.Sc. Agriculture. LPU is a first private University having ICAR accreditation. 1000 acres of farm land that LPU have, offers students plenty of opportunities to implement what they learn. Agriculture student from Lovely Professional University bags a Rs 1 Crore package. Good Luck!

I am sure both Universities put tremendous effort to make advancement in Education but here I would like to emphasize on LPU based on my personal experience. Well, if I talk about B.Sc. Agriculture at LPU, before proceeding I want to assert that LPU is the first private university in India that has got the ICAR accreditation which is a huge milestone that LPU has got in Science field. Undoubtedly, studying B.Sc. Agriculture in LPU will give an upper edge to the students because of robust curriculum and the space area which they provide for agricultural practises. Further, LPU also provides numerous scholarships and benefits of it can be availed by students. As I am an alumnus of LPU from Science background I, have visited the greenhouse and agricultural fields, which I must say are very vast and the on-going projects are significant and impactful. LPU also offers various career pathways and depending upon students calibre the guidance is provided accordingly. In summation I would strongly recommend LPU for pursuing B.Sc. Agriculture as LPU moulds each person in such a way so that one can fit in this competitive world.

Both Places are doing good in agriculture. I have spent 4 years in lpu for my studies and I have seen that agriculture department is one of the finest department. Well-equipped and well grown from last couple of years. Moreover, LPU is the first private university got ICAR approval. LPU holds stellar record in placements as big brands like VLCC Healthcare Ltd. , Ankur Seeds, HDFC, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. , Ebro India Pvt. Ltd. , etc. Have visited for campus recruitment at packages upto 4.5 LPA. In addition to this, students can attain positions as Agriculture Inspectors, Agriculture Officers, POs, Food Quality Inspectors, Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Technical Assistants and administrative posts in government and non-government organizations. Over and above, I also came to know that recently, LPU has been ranked in top 80 amongst all private and government institutes by NIRF, MHRD, GOI which shows the quality being delivered at the institute.

The best thing for LPU in Agriculture that LPU have about 1200+ acres of Agricultural Land for students to complete their live projects for better result. I won't say it's the best college when compared to other government universities. If you are able to crack the government universities go with it. LPU is the first private University in India that is ICAR accredited by ICAR. There are some private colleges in Maharashtra also which you can admission through the payment as far I listened they are not up to mark. When coming to faculty members in LPU most of the faculty will be Ph.D. candidates they are good at teaching and very helpful for the students. Unlike government universities, faculty cannot skip the lectures in LPU. At the end of the semester, the faculty need to cover the skipped lectures too by conducting extra makeup classes. Research work is not up to the mark in Lpu as LPU started Agriculture recently as B.Sc. Agriculture concerned it won't affect much. Placements - LPU is trying to get placements. Companies visited are Tata Rallis, NCDEX, Reliance, etc. But don't come to LPU expecting placements not everyone will get placed this is the same scenario in government universities also. But LPU trains you for placements by conducting placement classes. It will train you for Group discussions and Personal Interview and will focus on improving your communication skills and reducing your state fear which most government also doesn't teach like Lpu. LPU also conducts classes for the students who want to prepare for Masters from 3rd year onwards. In Lpu you can do internships, job from the final year onwards unlike other government universities. For government universities you are not allowed from 4th year. You can do a job/ internship from the 4th year itself. Diversity will be more in Lpu you can make friends from almost all states and few countries too. When diversity is concerned no university in India can beat LPU. In the future, we are expecting l LPU will get more placements due to more diversity which the company recruiters need. Lab and file work is also good. There are student organizations in Agriculture also AGRINIANS and Agros you can also join in it for developing your skills. LPU is just like the more REAP the more you get. Good luck!
