Which university is better to pursue B.Sc in agriculture, Amity University or Lovely Professional University?

Dear Yashpal, My cousin brother is pursuing BSc (Hons)Agriculture from LPU itself.He told Lovely Professional University has become India's first private university to get ICAR accreditation due to getting one of the highest Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Rating of 3.42/4, among all Universities. Lovely Professional University is best option for B.Sc(Hons)Agriculture because of following reason- The future of agriculture lies with a faith born of deeds. I'll prefer you to opt for Amity as this college is better than LPU in all the terms like infra, placements and also the faculty which is the most important thing in the college. In Amity, you will find more skill development opportunities than LPU and also in this university, you will almost get alumni in all the major companies. That is the most important thing.

Unbiased review. The best thing for LPU in Agriculture that LPU have about 1200+ acres of Agricultural Land for students to complete their live projects for better result. I won't say it's the best college when compared to other government universities. If you are able to crack the government universities go with it. LPU is the first private University in India that is ICAR accredited by ICAR. There are some private colleges in Maharashtra also which you can admission through the payment as far I listened they are not up to mark. When coming to faculty members in LPU most of the faculty will be Ph.D. candidates they are good at teaching and very helpful for the students. Unlike government universities, faculty cannot skip the lectures in LPU. At the end of the semester, the faculty need to cover the skipped lectures too by conducting extra makeup classes. Research work is not up to the mark in Lpu as LPU started Agriculture recently as B.Sc. Agriculture concerned it won't affect much. Placements - LPU is trying to get placements. Companies visited are Tata Rallis, NCDEX, Reliance, etc. But don't come to LPU expecting placements not everyone will get placed this is the same scenario in government universities also. But LPU trains you for placements by conducting placement classes. It will train you for Group discussions and personal interview and will focus on improving your communication skills and reducing your state fear which most government also doesn't teach like Lpu. LPU also conducts classes for the students who want to prepare for Masters from 3rd year onwards. In Lpu you can do internships, job from the final year onwards unlike other government universities. For government universities you are not allowed from 4th year. You can do a job/ internship from the 4th year itself. Diversity will be more in Lpu you can make friends from almost all states and few countries too. When diversity is concerned no university in India can beat LPU. In the future, we are expecting l LPU will get more placements due to more diversity which the company recruiters need. Lab and file work is also good. There are student organizations in Agriculture also AGRINIANS and Agros you can also join in it for developing your skills. LPU is just like the more REAP the more you get. Good luck!

Being a alumni of Lovely Professional University, I would say Lovely professional University School of Agriculture is among Punjab and India's Best Agriculture colleges. I would say that it is Lovely Professional University that is better for B.Sc. In Agriculture. LPU has a very practical approach of teaching for disciplines like Agriculture. Frequent visits to commercial farms, innovative pedagogy, and curriculum are some of those many things that make pursuing B.Sc. In agriculture at LPU different from the others. LPU in fact was the first private university to be certified by ICAR (Indian Council of Agriculture Research). Being an alumni of LPU I would rather say that the School of Agriculture in Lovely Professional University is among the best place for pursuing the B.Sc. In agriculture. Now you would be saying why I am saying like that, actually my cousin has completed his degree from here only. The most significant thing which should be emphasized is that LPU is the first private university which has been approved by ICAR. I along with my cousins had visited the fields, labs. In order to infuse understanding on emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture field visits are conducted to neighboring farms, orchards and nurseries. Not only subject related education is imparted but also the professional enhancement is added by the university through the different courses like soft skills and communication skills.
