Why LPU is not AICTE approved?

To my knowledge, LPU does not require an AICTE approval since it is already approved by UGC, a statutory body of the Government of India. This is because universities do not require AICTE approval compulsorily. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases UGC-approved is better as it will be internationally recognised. AICTE is some kind of government recognition but it will have no reciprocal approval internationally. AICTE Approval is used to be deemed universities as a money-spinner for the colleges. The Universities established by an Act of Central or State Government are valid Universities. Degree awarded by a valid University and specified by UGC under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956 is recognised, subject to the approval of the programme by the concerned Statutory Professional Council (s), wherever applicable. Hello Virat, your concern is genuine. Let me tell you LPU does not have an AICTE approval because it does not require it. LPU is an independent university. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled Bharathidasan University & ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases UGC-approved is better as it will be internationally recognised. The Universities established by an Act of Central or State Government are valid Universities. Degree awarded by a valid University and specified by UGC under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956 is recognised, subject to the approval of the programme by the concerned Statutory Professional Council (s), wherever applicable.

Hi, LPU is a renowned university and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India. That's why it doesn't need AICTE approval. It has other accreditation also like Association Of Indian Universities (AIU), Council Of Architecture (COA), National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council Of India (PCI), Indian Council Of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Bar Council Of India (BCI), The Institution Of Engineers (India), Institute Of Town Planners, India (ITPI) as well as International Memberships. The governing body of the universities is UGC which LPU has accreditation of. The university itself has the following accreditation: 1. UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION (UGC) 2. Association Of Indian Universities (AIU) 3. University Grants Commission - Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB 4. National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE) 5. Council Of Architecture (COA) 6. LPU is the best University to join as it focuses on the overall growth of the students.
