Hello Virat, Well, Lovely Professional University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India for the coordination, determination, and maintenance of standards of university education in India, under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. Kindly note if any University is approved by UGC, is a UGC approved deemed to be a University, is a UGC approved self-financed State University, or a UGC approved State Private University, is exempted from approval of AICTE. It is not important for any of the above universities to take Accreditation of AICTE. Lovely Professional University is recognised by many Accreditation councils of India & thoroughly recognised by UGC in 2006. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR.
