Will I get a UGC approved degree from those private universities whose compliance to UGC norms are still awaited till UGC's next visit?

Do not know about others but CU is approved by: University Grants Commission (UGC) National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Memberships Association of Indian Universities (AIU) International Association of Universities (IAU)

Yes, one will definitely get a UGC approved degree. The university has UGC norms that are applied here and moreover, the university gets NAAC A+ accreditation last year which adds an additional benefit.

If a private University does not comply to the UGC norms at the time of admission of the student, then the student will not get a UGC approved degree which may hamper the future prospects of the student. It is important to understand that UGC designates a UGC panel which is made up of a group of experts. This panel scrutinizes every minute detail of functioning of the private universities at various levels. Only after the panel is satisfied with the vision of the management, faculty, infrastructure, curriculum, policies etc. , the University is recommended for recognition. Not all the universities that are established under Central or State act have been awarded recognition by UGC. The selection of the right University is important for a students career, especially in today competitive environment. So, it is very important for the student to check that the University in which he is taking admission complies to UGC norms. Moreover, a University like Chandigarh University which is UGC recognised and has also bagged the prestigious A+ grade can be preferred over others private universities.

Hi,Chandigarh University provides the degree which is UGC approved for all the courses because the university complies with all the regulations enforced by the UGC and last year CU also got NAAC A+ accreditation provides all the more credence and relevance to all the courses offered here.
