Would my backlog history affect any chance of admission or VISA for Canada instead of a good percentage? What should I do?

I completed B.tech in CS with 80.20%. Quite good in each semester but due to some heath issue, in 1st semester, I got 4 backlogs which I than cleared in 1st attempt with good marks. I got 6.5 in IELTS. I want to apply to university of British Columbia in Canada.

    Hello Pranay,
By reading about your profile and the grades you have secured it is unlikely that you will face any problem. Your health issue was something out of your control and universities understand as long as they are genuine problems and as long as you can justify your stand. I cannot guarantee admission in a top university, so you must apply with a strong statement of purpose and letters of recommendation. I will suggest you to apply with positivism around.
Best of luck for your future.
