    Hi,
Masters of Business Administration (MBA) graduates have become an important part of every industry. With the growing economy, we see MBA aspirants focusing on certain specializations such as sales, marketing, finance, operations, HR and so on. Certain candidates also opt to pursue MBA with dual specialization. Such degrees are offered by various B-Schools and colleges across India.
Some of the common dual specializations taken up by students are Marketing and Finance, Marketing and Operations, Marketing and HR, Operations and Human Resource Management (HRM), HRM and IT, IT and Marketing and so on.

The top ranked colleges in India offers a dual MBA degree in marketing and finance. I recommend that you can go for just one of these. Both have amazing opportunity available. If you believe that doing an MBA with both marketing and finance at the same time will be better for future career prospects, you are wrong. Good companies won't hire someone who has specialized in neither finance nor marketing. Companies look for master or experts of a particular field.

    Hello,
If you are looking for MBA in both finance and marketing, I would suggest, you should select first that between both, which is the one specialisation in which you have a keen interest, so that you can choose one as your major specialisation and the second one as the minor specialisation. In this way, you can do MBA in both finance and marketing. If you are mainly into finance then take finance. I would suggest you to take finance as your major and if you want to make your career in the marketing field then go for marketing. There are colleges like PUMBA who will allow you to do MBA with dual specialisation.
    Thank you.

Yes, you can pursue it in different academic session. You can't pursue dual specialization in first session of your MBA from any b-school or university except PGDM. PGDM from any b-school offers dual specialization in first academic session.

    Hi,
Yes, you can do both finance and marketing. If you do finance, so make sure you join banking sector or finance department in any organization. You also do marketing because many companies demand for an all-rounder candidate in both sectors.
    All the best.

Some colleges like IFMR (Chennai) provide opportunity to take one as major and another field as minor one.
For e.g. you can take finance as major and marketing as minor or vice versa.
It will give you hold on both the specialisations.

Choose either one of them because both can't be done together.
  • Yes, you can pursue an MBA with a specialisation in both finance and marketing. Many MBA programs offer students the flexibility to choose their elective courses, allowing them to customize their degree to their interests and career goals. To pursue a dual specialisation in finance and marketing, you would typically take a core set of MBA courses covering topics such as accounting, economics, strategy, and operations management, along with elective courses focused on finance and marketing. Your finance courses might cover topics like investment analysis, financial modeling, and corporate finance, while your marketing courses might cove
