Modern biotechnology and emerging innovations from ot have paved the way for developments in areas like agriculture, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, environment, forensic Science etc. Biotechnology has been used for breeding of animals and crops and producing useful products by fermentation. It is used in dairy and poultry, textiles, leather and food sector also. B.Sc. Biotechnology is one of the best courses after 12 class in non-medical or medical stream. The job opportunities in this sectors are increasing nowadays. Those who have interest in biotechnology subjects, it can be a best choice for them. One can have best job opportunities in industrial field as well as research work. But, one must have good knowledge of subjects offered in B.Sc. Biotechnology. In my views, PCTE College of Biotechnology situated in Ludhiana, Punjab is one of the best colleges offering B.Sc. Biotechnology course. Faculty of PCTE biotechnology provides quality education as well as practical knowledge of subjects offered under this course.

Since it seems that you are interested in both the programs so for better understanding for your reference just let me start with the Basic difference of B.Tech. &amp; B.Sc. In Bio-Technology domains. B.Sc. Is pure Science (less Practical Labs, less Industry Exposure) while B.Tech is Technology oriented with Industry driven curriculum. B.Tech is a 4 years course while B.Sc. Is a 3 years course. In B.Tech Biotechnology you will learn about other branches of engineering also in &amp; your first year whereas in B.Sc. Biotechnology you will directly learn about your core subjects. Of course you will also get exposure about other Science subjects but your course will have maximum papers from your honours subject only. In B.Tech biotechnology the main subjects start from second year and you will have a lot of laboratory work and more subjects. Biochemistry would be an important paper in B.Tech. And you will also have to deal with many Differential Equations. On the contrary in B.Sc. Biotechnology you will have a relaxed schedule and less laboratory work as compared to B.Tech. In B.Tech, application of whatever is being taught is given more importance while in B.Sc. Biotechnology theoretical part is given more importance. Being alumni I must say, in Lovely professional University both the courses are taught with equal priority. In case of Placement even students get equal focus from LPU. They used to get prepared for placement further as per their career pathway.
