By reducing the number of sections from three to two and increasing the duration of the exam, the Iims may be trying to place a greater emphasis on analytical and reasoning abilities, which are crucial for success in the modern business world. However, the change in pattern may also pose a challenge for test-takers who are used to the three-section format of the CAT exam. To prepare effectively for the CAT 2022 exa

The CAT 2022 pattern is likely to remain same as was for CAT 2022. Same number of 3 CAT exam slots
Same Time duration of 2 hours
CAT question paper to remain divided between MCQs and Non MCQs
Scoring pattern with +3 marks for each correct answer
Same Negative marking for MCQs with -1 for each wrong answer
    No Negative marking for Non-MCQ
Same number of 66 questions in CAT exam
No change in the CAT testing mode.

We have no idea about how many questions in every section. There could be a surprise here because the number of questions may change, but even then it will be within the range of 20 to 26. In other words there could be a minimum of 20 questions or a maximum of 26 questions. The number of questions in each section may not the be the same. VARC could again have greater number of questions than the number of questions in the other two. VARC will turn out to be gamechanger this year as well. The time has come to study hard and to give your best.
