The revisions indicate that the CAT, as an MBA entry exam, is developing. It implies that IIMs have yet to find an appropriate test pattern and may continue to experiment with approach.
As for the preparation strategy, applicants should make no changes. Concentrate on your strengths and weaknesses like you intended.
However, the way you take exams will change. Candidates must complete each section in 60 minutes. There is no opportunity to attempt your the strongest segment first or last; everything is selected by CAT officials.

This year, non-MCQ questions are making an appearance. The IIMs have not released any details about it. Non-MCQ

With the CAT exam back to three sections, it is important to understand the nature and scope of each section. The Quantitative Aptitude section will likely focus on mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills, the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning section will test your ability to analyze and interpret data, and the Verbal and Reading Comprehension section will test your language and comprehension skills. You will need to manage your time carefully to ensure that you have enough time to complete each section. Make sure to practice time management strategies, such as setting time limits for each question or section. As alwa

The exam pattern has undergone a few significant alterations as a result of the CAT 2023 design adjustments. The exam has been condensed from three hours to just two, and there are now 50 instead of the previous 76 questions. You can interpret these modifications as follows:
Less time allotted: Because the exam will now only take two hours instead of three, you'll need to use your time more wisely. You should work on your accuracy and speed when answering questions. Less questions: With the number of questions decreased from 76 to 50, the emphasis will be placed more on testing your conceptual knowledge and problem-solving abilities tha

The following factors should be taken into account when analysing changes to the CAT pattern or any other competitive exam:
Keep informed: Stay informed with the most recent information from reliable sources, such as the official CAT website or the organisation in charge of overseeing the exam. The organisation in charge of administering the exam will typically disclose changes to the CAT pattern well in advance, so it's important to be aware of the updated pattern in order to avoid any surprises on exam day. The CAT or Common Aptitude Test 2022 pattern changed due to COVID. Although the sectional and overall time limits were not changed, the number of sections and the number of questions per sections differed. It remains a computerized test. It's decided into 3 parts VARC DILR and Quant. You need the complete the whole test in 120 minutes or 2 hours and also individual sections has its own time limit. Use mock tests and previous years questions to be thorough with your practices.

The CAT 2022 pattern changes, which were announced by the Indian Institutes of Management (Iims) in May 2022, can be interpreted as an attempt to make the exam more relevant and reflective of the changing business landscape. By reducing the number of sections from three to two and increasing the duration of the exam, the Iims may be trying to place a greater emphasis on analytical and reasoning abilities, which are crucial for success in the modern business world. However, the change in pattern may also pose a challenge for test-takers who are used to the three-section format of the CAT exam. To prepare effectively for the CAT 2022 exa
