The CAT 2022 pattern is likely to remain same as was for CAT 2022. Same number of 3 CAT exam slots
Same Time duration of 2 hours
CAT question paper to remain divided between MCQs and Non MCQs
Scoring pattern with +3 marks for each correct answer
Same Negative marking for MCQs with -1 for each wrong answer
    No Negative marking for Non-MCQ
Same number of 66 questions in CAT exam
No change in the CAT testing mode.

We have no idea about how many questions in every section. There could be a surprise here because the number of questions may change, but even then it will be within the range of 20 to 26. In other words there could be a minimum of 20 questions or a maximum of 26 questions. The number of questions in each section may not the be the same. VARC could again have greater number of questions than the number of questions in the other two. VARC will turn out to be gamechanger this year as well. The time has come to study hard and to give your best.

The CAT 2022 Pattern is changed. The exam will be conducted in three slots of two hours each. The exam pattern for CAT 2022 is completely changed with fewer number of questions by IIM Bangalore which is conducting CAT this year. Some of the features in CAT exam pattern like number of sections, scoring pattern, sectional and overall time limit are not changed.

The paper pattern is expected to be the same. Only the number of questions will reduce. That means there will be RCs, Jumbled Para, Para Summary, and Odd Man Out in Verbal but the number of questions will reduce. The number of questions is likely to be
    24 Verbal 22 DILR 24 Quant - 70 Questions
    instead of last year
    26 Verbal 24 DILR 26 Quant - 76 Questions
This will not make a change in preparation though the strategy may have to be modified a bit. This change is because CAT usually had 100 Questions in 3 hours. In CAT 2020 the time was reduced to 2 hours. The number of questions should have been around 66 or 67 on a proportionate basis, bu

Hi Ipsita, we know that the pattern changed but trust me it all still depends on your daily learning aspect. The pattern doesn't change fully but only quite a difference is visible. You don't need to think as much for pattern. Just keep on working on your weak areas because since last time IIM Bangalore set the pattern and this time another IIM will. According to me this time, there is expected to be more tougher QA or LR. So just keep with the pace.

The CAT 2022 exam pattern changes are significant and will have an impact on how candidates should prepare for the exam. The new pattern is designed to be more student-friendly, reduce the duration of the exam, and allow for greater flexibility in test-taking. Here's a breakdown of the changes and what they mean for test-takers:
    1. Shorter Exam Duration: The CAT 2022 exam will be of a shorter duration, with 120 minutes for each section instead of 180 minutes. This change will allow for more focused and intensive testing, which could benefit students who struggle with maintaining concentration for long periods.

As you know, In the last six years the marking scheme of CAT exam has also not changed. For every correct answer three marks are allotted and for every wrong answe -1 mark is deducted. There is no deduction of marks for TITA questions and questions left unattempted. Furthermore, Data Interpretation for CAT
*Prepare as per the latest trends on Data Interpretation questions in CAT. *Read the Best Data Interpretation Book. *Read and practice various types of Data Interpretation Questions and Answers. *One of the key CAT Data Interpretation tricks by experts is to go from LOD=1 to LOD=3.

He CAT question paper pattern is based on similar MBA entrance exams, having multiple choice questions (MCQs) to be solved within a particular time duration. Earlier, CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. The number of questions was reduced to 76 and exam duration was reduced to 120 minutes. In 2021, CAT exam pattern was revised again with reduction of total questions to 66 but the exam duration was same. The CAT total marks was 198.
