The answer is number after giving the CAT you don't need to apply for each IIM separately. It is much like the counselling process for JEE preference filling. No, you don't need to apply separately for any of the new or old Indian Institutes of Management. When you fill the application form you have to fill a preference as to how many IIMs you wish to be part of. This is a one-time process which needs to be completed at the time of the application process
