Yes, LPU is first private university which is having ICAR accreditation. The grant was bestowed upon LPU at the XXII meeting of the National Agricultural Education Accreditation Board of ICAR, which was held on 28th September 2018 at the NASC Complex, New Delhi. Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Chairman of the National Agricultural Education Accreditation Board and Director General, ICAR, gave the firm opinion that the quality of agricultural education should be given paramount importance. He reiterated that grading of AUs certainly creates a healthy competitive environment and thus enhances the quality of education. The following degree programs of the School of Agriculture of Lovely Professional University were approved for accreditation. B.Sc (Hons. ) Agriculture. M.Sc Agriculture {Horticulture (Fruit Science)}. M.Sc Agriculture (Agronomy). M.Sc Agriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding). Yes, LPU is ICAR recognized and it is India's first Private University to get ICAR Accreditation. ICAR coordinates agricultural education and research in the country under the aegis of the Department of Agricultural Research & Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (Government of India), where the Union Minister of Agriculture is its President. I'd like to respond to this as I'm an alum. The Indian Council for Agricultural Research, or ICAR, is its full name. OfCourse! LPU is acknowledged by ICAR. B.Sc. (Hons. ). (Hons. ). The National Agricultural Education Board of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, a self-governing organisation charged with coordinating agricultural education and research in India, has accredited the M.Sc. Ag. (Genetics & Plant Breeding), M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy), and M.Sc. Ag. Horticulture (Fruit Science) programmes to ICAR. The Ministry of Agriculture's Department of Agricultural Research and Education is its parent organisation.

Among all 8 institutions evaluated at Cars 22nd Board Meeting, LPU School of Agriculture was approved for accreditation with one of the highest ratings. LPU School of Agriculture was approved for accreditation with GPAC of 3.42. Among all the 8 institutions evaluated, LPU School of Agriculture got the highest ICAR Rating, which is clear indication of the quality of programmes at LPU School of Agriculture.
