Does LPU provide good placements for mechanical engineering?

Placements :. As you know, LPU got a lot of students and maximum (approximately.90%) of them who want to take placements got placements in big companies. In my batch, the highest salary offered is 18 Lacs by Amazon and it was a non-campus drive. Minimum went around 2.8 Lacs. We have companies like Amazon, Lava, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Xerox India, ITC, Tech Mahindra, Bosch, Josh, S. A. P labs etc. And lots of startups and small companies. 20-30% people got an internship from their respective companies but LPU offers you their own internship opportunities. Most from the companies they are linked with since a long time. The highest stipend offered was 4-5 Lacs by Amazon and the lowest was 1.2 around by S. A. P Labs. Infrastructure : LPU's infrastructure is really big. You got Wi-Fi on the full campus. No matter the classrooms, labs, hostels or malls, hospital and even in apartments provided by LPU in LPU only. Labs are good. It means most of the computers work and properly work. Classrooms are now full AC. We have got around 4 libraries, at least those I have visited. Medical facility is good. LPU got its own hospital and ambulance for 24*7 service. Sports and games happen all the time. Food quality is really good in canteens. They take food very serious and LPU is all Vegan. If you want more LPU, we have got Pizza Hut, McDonald's, CCD and lot more in our malls. Hostel rooms are good and increase the price they will increase your comfort as a 5-star hotel. The infrastructure has only one problem. It's too big for your two small feet. Now they are making a big swimming pool and you got a roller skating ground too. Faculty : The faculty is really helpful. And I mean it. You won't find any faculty members in any colleges like in LPU. I know that because I have seen the difference in other college faculty and LPU's faculty. All of them are M.Tech and Holds are all Ph.D. holders and some of them are even gold medalists. They are helpful and friendly, most of them. It also depends on your behaviour.

Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering Physics engineering mathematics, and materials Science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery. The highest package availed is Rs 7.9 LPA for ME from Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India. Rs 7.5 LPA for ME from Wilmar When it comes to Automobile Engineering 95% to 98% of the senior batches have been placed in top-notch companies such as HERO MOTORCYCLES, HYUNDAI, ESCORTS, TAFE and many more. The employment growth rate of mechanical engineers is expected to increase by 9% from 2016- 2026. Since their employment is in various industries the growth in each industry will impact the overall growth in employment. The contracting services from companies will continue to add to the growth in engineering services.

Mechanical engineering is the study, design, development, construction, and testing of mechanical and thermal sensors and devices, including tools, engines, and machines. Mechanical engineers work mostly in engineering services, research and development, and manufacturing. I would say LPU is better for mechanical engineering based on the following point. LPU is good for Mechanical and automobile engineering. Good placements in a core company as well as a software company. Other than participating in different events like a go-kart, project expo, entertainment events like one India, one world, etc. Practical-based learning and valuable guest lectures are an integral part of the university. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure a good placement. Zee News Survey rated us as 11th Best in India in Placements. Top companies visited for placements: Volkswagon, Voltas, Anglo-Eastern Ship Mgt. , Asahi India, Rockman (Hero group), Dharam Consulting, Samundra, Indo-MIM, Sandhar Technologies, JK Lakshmi Cement, Maruti, Lava, XL Dynamics, Asahi India, Cleanmax Solar, Elgi Equipments, etc. The highest Package: of my batch was Rs 7.9 LPA for ME from Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India. Hi KIran, the LPU offers a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal etc. Specialisation. The Eligibility Criteria is (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) The course aims at enabling the student to Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics and computational skills and tools. My younger brother studied at LPU at the same stream. When it comes to placements, There are more than 100 companies that are coming to LPU for the recruitment of mechanical students. The packages vary from 3 Lacs to 12 Lacs per annum. On average, the packages are 5 Lacs in a very core company which gradually sees a couple of rapid promotions based on your handwork. Students have got top packages from leading tech companies. Students of Mechanical engineering are placed in Honda, VOLTAS, XL Dynamics, Anglo-Eastern Ship Management, Hero MotoCorp, Hyundai Constructions, and many more. *Apart from their placements, LPU also provides rich support to its students to focus on their entrepreneurship projects that can help the student set up their own business. *Yes, LPU is good for in terms of mechanical engineering placements as my own brother experienced it. School of Mechanical Engineering is among the best engineering colleges in Punjab. I had some friends in Mechanical dept. And they had great things to say about the mechanical engineering department. LPU is the largest university in India and it has many highlights. In terms of international tie-ups, the university stands apart from other universities in the countries. With the constant zeal to improve and provide endless opportunities to the students, the following tie-ups are a few feathers in the cap: International Association Of Universities (IAU), France Association Of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), UK The Institute Of International Education (IIE), New York Accreditation Council For Business Schools And Programs (ACBSP), USA The mechanical dept. Has more than 40 labs for experimentation works. Many brands like Voltas International, Honda Two Wheelers, Asahi India Glass Ltd. , Indo Farm Tractors Ltd. Have been visiting LPU for recruiting mechanical engineers. Honda offered packages of 7.9 LPA, Hettich India and Giga Solar offered package of 5 LPA and 2.4 LPA to students of final year for internships.
