Being an alumni of LPU I would like to throw some light on the specific programme outcomes of CIVIL ENGINNERING: 1: Creating Civil Engineers who are competent enough to deal with real life problems and providing their sustainable solutions through knowledge of mathematics, Science and engineering, including project based learning and industry internship. 2 : Imparting knowledge of the latest technology and development in the field of Civil Engineering through updated curriculum and its content, incorporating software learning, E learning, practical learning. 3 : Skill development, both technical as well as soft skills, to make them ready to work in industry or as an entrepreneur, in its own domain or in multidisciplinary domain to achieve the desired outcome. 4 : Inculcate a culture of lifelong learning through continuous updation and improvement in their knowledge domain and enhancing the professional benchmarking. 5 : Build civil engineers who have a sense of social responsibility and deep understanding of professional knowledge and ethics in discharging their duties with right decision making at appropriate time to increase productivity and effectiveness. Placement: 19.75 LPA (Sobha Realty) was the highest salary package last year. Huge number of Campus placement drives with reputed brands used to be held every year for this course. Students are placed in the best brands like Larsen & Tubro Ltd. , Simplex Infrastructure pvt Ltd. , Gammon India, National Highway Authority of India, HCC, Shapoorji & Pallonji, DLF Homes, RITES Ltd. , NCC, SAIL, DMRC BHEL, KEC INTERNATIONAL LIMITED and many more. Scope of Civil Engineering is not limited to Domestic base rather its been accepted globally in different career aspect or profile like Corporate job, Government Job, Consultant, Teaching, Research, Entrepreneurship etc. Salary is competitive enough as it is unique field, no alternative of an experienced Civil Engineering in the industry.

The placements are as follows: The maximum package for civil engineering was 19.75 LPA. 86% of the students get placed in civil engineering. There are good numbers of Universities offering this course but I would say LPU is best. I have done MBA from Lovely Professional University and I had many friends from Civil Engineering, so I have idea course, Placements, Curriculum, as they use to share with me. When looking for an answer to such questions, one should have a cursory glance at the rankings. The ranking of LPU in engineering the rank of LPU is 66. The Times World University Rankings 2022 LPU Is at no 22 in Times Higher Education List. Outlook ranks LPU at number 9 in Outlook Care rankings and The Timesof India ranks LPU at no 36 in the list of engineering institutes. LPU received an Employability award by Aspiring Mind in 2020 for best placement Institute in India. LPU is ranked 10th best university for Training and Placement in 2019 by Knowledge Review. 19.75 LPA was the highest package a student of LPU got last year. School of Civil Engineering, Lovely Professional University is one of the most advanced technical and research oriented institutes with faculty and staff associated with national/ international professional bodies like IGS, IET, ISSMGE, ASCE etc. It has got up to-the-date civil engineering technical research lab-Unilab with cutting-edge technology and equipment. Unilab has NABL accreditation as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The school has rich industry and research oriented. The School has research collaboration and tie-ups with top ranked international universities. Out of 240 students in civil engineering department, only 35 got placed, and that too in IT firms and one civil core company. The highest package offered was 28 LPA, and the lowest package was 1.2 LPA. The average package was around 5 LPA.
