How are the placements of B.Tech in automobile engineering in LPU?

Hello, LPU is a good university when you compare it with other private universities and colleges. According to the current scenario (2017), most students have got placed in IT sector in good MNCs. But when we talk about core industries, the opportunities are less. You have to be unique in your department then only you will be placed. Not only in LPU but in other institutes also, the vacancy for core industry is very less. You will get 4-5 core companies during your placement and the number of students selected will not be more than 20. This figure is according to the current image of LPU, but you can choose LPU because after 4 years you will get much more than this, the rate of growth is very high. Automotive Engineering top International Go-Kart championship 2017 concluded at LPU Campus. LPU Students researched to double the Mileage of Vehicles Half the Electricity Expenses. Hi, I am not from LPU, but I am having contacts in LPU, so I will try to answer this question with the best knowledge I got so far. LPU is a good university when you compare it with other private universities and colleges. Most of the faculty are experienced and have a friendly behavior. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. LPU also provides rich support to its students to focus on their entrepreneurship projects that can help the students in setting up their own business. Coming back to the question, the top companies that visited for 2017 placements were Volkswagon, Voltas, Anglo Eastern Ship Mgt, Indo-MIM, Maruti, Lava, XL Dynamics, Asahi India, Cleanmax Solar, Elgi Equipments and many more. But the worst part was both mechanical and automobile students were competing for these companies. There were a few tech companies for automobile students, so hardly 20 students were placed, rest of them were placed in IT firms. When we talk about core industries, the opportunity are less, you have to be unique in your department then only you will be placed. And automobile is not a core branch. So, this is a major setback. A broad scope for beginners. You will have the option in manufacturing, go karts, etc. and participating in national competitions. Don't know about the highest but the average package in an automobile is about 3-5 LPA (only few students are able to grab this). You have to do hard work to get placed via this branch. Zee News has given 11 rank to LPU on behalf of placement record in the previous year for their B.Tech/M.Tech/MBA students. Dear Student, If you are inquiring about placements in engineering then LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible students to secure good placement. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. But as far as automobile engineering is concerned, the first batch has not passed yet, so the placement record is under construction for this stream. But LPU assures the placement of all its deserving candidates and would strive high when the time would come for the placements of its automobile engineering students.

There are about 8 branches of engineering offered by LPU out of which automobile is one. It is one of the growing fields and LPU offers the required infrastructure for the growth of the career. So, with good technology, faculty, and infrastructure, all the students are given good opportunities. The rest is taken care by LPU. The current batch of the automobile is the first batch of the university. So, I cannot comment about the placement statistics but can ensure you that you will get ample opportunities to appear in the large drives for recruitment held every year by the big recruiters for the campus students. So, I can only say that you should try and get handy on machines as they will be your contemporary in future. Be tech savvy. Good luck!

LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement.
