6 years agoLPU is a university who frequently becomes the talk of the town. The events coverage in national and international level media has given this university an international level presence. With 30000+ students from around all states of India, 70+ countries must give any student a dynamic experience, studying there. Now, coming back to placements, in comparison to local private universities, LPU performs well but is nowhere near premier institutes like IITs, NITs or BITS.
LPU had okayish placements for Automobile department. Very few students got placed from Automobile department. This is also because the branch has lesser opportunities compared to branches like CSE. Most of them were placed in IT roles. Average package was about 3LPA.

Top companies: Volkswagon, Voltas, Anglo Eastern Ship Mgt., Asahi India, Rockman (Hero group), Dharam Consulting, Samundra, Indo-MIM, Sandhar Technologies, JK Lakshmi Cement, Maruti, Lava, XL Dynamics, Asahi India, Cleanmax Solar, Elgi Equipments, etc. there are good placements above 70% for automobiles Engineering Specialization.

Hi,
I won't prefer you to opt for LPU other than for CSE as this is the branch it is known for. For any other thing, you won't be able to find any good thing other than infra. Placements of all the other branches are so worse that if you will see it once, then you won't pursue engineering at all. -
I'll personally don't suggest you LPU for other branches rather than CSE because it is good at that.

In LPU The placement opportunities in LPU are much better than other private universities as it is ranked the 5th amongst the other universities for its placement records.
