The college has a reputation maintained for excellence in the course offered particularly for undergraduate courses. The placements are higher in almost every branch. For civil engineering branch, one can expect an average placement package of around Rs 4 Lacs considering the placement record in the year 2016. Also, the highest placement package obtained by a student of the batch 2017 in the civil department was Rs 17.5 Lacs by VGN which happened to take only 4 students from the whole batch. The number of core companies coming for placements in the college is less for the civil department. The reason why I would not recommend you to go

BMS Institute of Technology is an old college established in 2004 which gives good placement to the students of the different branch but civil engineering branch started in 2013 so this year, the 1st batch of civil engineering will pass (in 2017). So, this is a newly started branch and the placement is not so good. At an average, 78.57% students get placed in the campus selection for the first time in BMS Institute. Having more than 80 offers from the company, there is no mention about the highest salary offered or average salary.

Civil is a coming up and newly opened branch in BMSIT. It started in 2013. Labs are new. So are teachers. Teaches are friendly. The department has very good and experienced teachers. Academically, it is pretty OK okish. Placements for the first batch of students will take place in 2017.
Excellent infrastructure facilities, can be considered one of the best in India. We even have a hospital within our campus with two banks, a shopping complex, 15 shops and 6 restaurants. The pricing and the quality of food they serve is 'good'. The rooms of the new hostels is top notch.
