The eligibility criteria to undergo Flight Dispatcher course is that the candidate should have attained the age of 21 years. The minimum educational qualification required is to clear 10+2 standard examination with mathematics and physics subjects from a recognised Board / University. The duration of the training is 360 hours or 12 weeks of Ground Classes. Thereafter, on successful passing of DGCA / TRTO examination, 90 working days of On-the-Job training and minimum 5 hours of Simulator sessions for observing flight deck operations All the best.

When this happens (and it happens quite a lot), it is easy to get interviewed. Once you graduate and have your FAA ticket, then here is what happens. You come to the AFDTC student resource center at the school. Here, you will find a brand new copy of the World Aviation Directory, which is a book that contains the names, addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers, and you name it, of each and every airline in the world. We suggest that you pick maybe 20 or 30 airlines that you feel that you would like to be employed with. Then, you write a quick letter to each airline's Personnel Office, requesting a job application. For Flight Dispatchers, yearly average wages total $49K annually. Final cash compensation to Flight Dispatchers varies from around $26K to approximately $82K; choice pay grades include potential for bonuses and profit sharing as high as $5K and $10K, respectively. Experience level is the biggest factor affecting pay for this group, followed by geography. Men account for the majority of Flight Dispatchers who responded to the questionnaire 69 percent to be exact. While roughly a fourth report receiving no health benefits, a strong majority do receive medical coverage, and the greater part have dental, as well. The majority of workers are highly satisfied with their job.

A layman thinking about a flight would think that the entire responsibility of the flight is in the hands of the pilots. That is just partially true as for a flight to happen, a pilot relies on a team on the ground that can effectively handle the other duties requred for the flight to happen to begin with. An aircraft flight dispatcher makes airline operations work and ensures that both pilots and their passengers are able to travel safely to their destination. Flight plans, safety guidelines, and weather patterns are all part of the work performed by a dispatcher. Effective duty of a flight dispatcher would directly show in the profit made by the airline for that flight. In order to become a flight dispatcher, Student should have attained the age of 21 years. The minimum educational qualification required is pass in 10+2 standard examination with mathematics and physics subjects from a recognised Board /University. There are many institutes in India that conduct this course but the best way to do it would be via CTE or the Central Training Establishment run by Air India, as there would be a better chance of getting a job that way. One can visit the careers section on the Air India website to download the form. A Junior flight dispatcher can expect a salary of anywhere between 12k to 25k INR and it eventually increases to upto a Lakh rupees as seniority increases. With the boom in the Indian Aviation industry, any aviation related job is a good idea and one should not waste time and simply go for it straight away!

Hi, Airline Dispatchers are highly trained individuals who hold a valid FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate. They are employed by individual airlines and work in the airline's operational control center, sometimes known as System Operations Control Centers, Flight Control, Flight Dispatch or just Dispatch. Dispatchers control and coordinate all functions of the airline. Dispatch serves as the airline's 'Mission Control'. The dispatch office is the airline's nerve center. Airline Dispatchers are the ground equivalent to the Airline Captain. Captain and Dispatcher exercise joint decision making and shared authority during the airline flight operation. The FAA believes in the "two heads are better than one" concept. In order to exercise this shared decision making, the Dispatcher must be equally knowledgeable as the Captain in aviation and aeronautics. The FAA Aircraft Dispatcher license (held by the Airline Dispatcher) is required to do the job. Airline Flight Dispatcher Training Center offers a Six Week FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate Course. Education A high school Diploma or equivalent is required.
