    Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or "AME" are the people who maintain the aircraft by carrying out different maintenance activities on the aircraft and making sure that is safe for flying. There are basically two streams. One is mechanical and the other one is avionics. There are many training establishment in India that give this training.     Aircraft Maintenance Engineer AME is a technical course in which a student learns about checking of aircraft parts, engines, components and maintain the aircraft. This field is most important in the view of safety purpose of the passenger as these engineers check the proper functioning of the plane.     An aircraft maintenance engineer is responsible for ensuring an aircraft operates properly and safely. A maintenance engineer may make repairs, troubleshoot problems, conduct inspections and make upgrades to aircrafts.
