How is the scope in VFX?

Animation industry in India is expected to grow at a pace faster than even the IT industry's! Animation as a career option is a field where you can use your creative juices. Hi Vignesh, Gaming and VFX is totally a practical and professional degree. As, media industry is growing gradually in the aspects. These courses are climbing the stairs of demand day by day. LPU offers B. Design in gaming, which is a 4-year programme, the cutting edge course. By the gestation period of 4 years, LPU is producing the Industry ready products. I heard many of their students are already working as a freelancer with many production houses as there are many production houses in the Punjab now. You can say, LPU and their students are grabbing this as an opportunity to enhance the practice on workstations. I must say that LPU is a perfect institute for Animation and Multimedia. Hi Vignesh, Basically, India is a media and entertainment savvy nation and is also produces the highest number of feature films in the world with over 1000 films every year. Every film has minimum 50-100 VFX shots to maximum 4000-5000 shots. VFX is a laborious and highly skilled work. For a film like Bahubali, it took two years to complete the VFX with over 600 artists working on it. So, you can imagine the number of people required and the volume of work which needs to be done from time to time. I am just talking about films. If you take the volume of work in Television and advertising, it just becomes much higher. Gaming and VFX is totally a practical and professional degree. Visual FX has a very good prospect in post-production studios working on entertainment applications like movies. In this you have carrier opportunities to work as compositor and clean-up artist, roto artist, color corrector. Presently, requirement in VFX is on air, if your work is good you can fetch up good job in this field.
