    It is a wise choice to pursue a PhD in statistics particularly if you want to improve your research and analytical abilities. Given your Vadodara location you might choose to apply to the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU) whose Faculty of Science offers PhD programs in statistics. A Masters degree in statistics or a closely related discipline with at least 55% of the possible points and passing scores on a national entrance exam such as the UGC NET, GATE or the university's PhD entrance exam, are normally prerequisites for admission.
