IIM and IIT are two different directions, this can only be compared as your first priority. What you want, a business degree or want to go fully technical. Everything on your mind.
-
Go for what you really want.

These two are completely different streams. Through IIMs, you can go for a management role and via IIT, you can get into technical roles. Do some introspection and identify what interests you more and what you want as a career. Also, when comparing new IIMs with old IIMs, the new IIMs surely have a long way to go but the alums of Rohtak (I can speak only about Rohtak) are going places and we are getting excellent opportunities here. So, a decent placement won't be a problem and there will be lots of exposure as after all it is an IIM.
