Is CAT exam compulsory for MBA in all the colleges?

not really.but if u get good scores in CAT exams u can join good colleges
there are also MAT,CMAT,XMAT,KMAT and there are aptitute exams by colleges to join in there institution.
it's always gud attend CAT exmas becames it's valid in all colleges -

It's not compulsory to take cat exam for applying to all colleges. Cmat, xat, gmat are other competitive exams through which you can apply in B schools. -
All MBA colleges follow the open test route.However the test that they follow could be different.It could be their own test of CAT/XAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ SNAP/ CMAT / XAT etc.
so its important to first decide which institute you intend to join and then appear for the test that is recognised by it for admissions. -

Cat and mat for colleges within india
Gmat for colleges outside india
Pgcet for deduction in your fees for mba only if score within 200 ranks.
